She demonstrated her strength in academic writing by winning the Steele Rudd Memorial Prize for the year's best essay on Australian literature -1993.
In her thirty-five years as a library manager, Julie's chief love was always readers' advisory work. She knows a good book when she sees one!
Julie has spent many hours assisting UQ overseas students to meet the demands of writing tertiary essays in their second language. English editing and English proofreading are her specialty areas in academic editing.
She is also a very proficient book editor, who applies a book-lover's eye to manuscripts. When Julie edits, unnecessary phrases fall away, leaving crisp, unambiguous prose. She offers excellent manuscript proofreading services to Brisbane writers.
